The Moritz family didn’t start in white stones, but rather black rocks — coal to be exact. They built a business on Orange Street in Mansfield, Ohio and made a name for themselves by supplying coal to the region. As the world began to transition from coal to natural gas for home heating, the Moritz family decided it was time to diversify and invest in the building material business. Today, they operate a ready mix concrete plant and aggregate distribution site in Ashland, which can service work orders in Richland County as well as surrounding areas. They offer a variety of crushed aggerate and concrete accessories to meet any project need. These include: #57 crushed stone: Great for driveways, walkways and as a base material.

It also covers areas north of Columbus in Deleware and Morrow Counties, Knox, Licking, and Marion County. In 2019, a new plant was opened in Marengo to further expand its coverage area.
